How to prepare
BEFORE THE MASSAGE
- Be on time.
- For hygienic reasons, we kindly request all our guests to remove their shoes upon entering the building. So feel free to bring your own slippers or alternatively please request our team members and they will provide you complimentary single use slippers.
- We invite all our guests to bringing your ( Large size ) towel or bathrobe for your convenience. While we strive to provide the best service, having your personal items ensures your comfort and satisfaction during treatment.
- If possible, take a warm shower at home to cleanse the body and prepare it for the massage with oils.
- For body massages: do not apply any kind of body lotions or moisturizers to the skin.
- For head massage: do not apply any kind of hair gel, or hair sprays.
- For face massages: and face beauty treatments remove/do not apply makeup.
- Do not eat just before the massage session. After a meal Keep a minimum break of 45/60 minutes before your treatment starts.
- If necessary, use the toilet before starting the treatments in order to avoid later interruptions.
- Smoking and drinking alcohol are not permitted.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothes.
- Ayurveda massages/treatments are performed with a generous amount of oils. For this reason, we recommend patients to dress accordingly in order to avoid damaging personal clothing.
- Before a massage, you will be provided with special underwear that guarantees optimal application of oil for the massage. you can decide whether to wear them or not. If you finally decide to use your own underwear, please keep in mind that it might become spoiled with oils and that the therapist might not be able to perform the massage steps properly.
DURING THE MASSAGE
- Communicate with your massage therapist in case of any discomfort.
- When changing position or standing up from the massage table, proceed slowly in order to avoid muscle strains or dizziness.
AFTER THE MASSAGE
- Rest and do not perform hard activities
- Welcome any emotions
- In order to properly flush out the toxins, drink plenty of warm water or enjoy a cup of tea provided by us.
- Waiting minimum one hour before washing out the oil from the body, will increase the level of absorption and beneficial effects of the massage.
- Head and body must be kept warm and protected from cold temperatures and wind
- Back at home, a warm shower is recommended in order to maintain the circulation and muscle relaxations.
- Smoking, use of alcohol, cold drinks, coffee, must be avoided.
- A light meal is recommended, in order to avoid digestion problems such as bloating or gasses
